Setup

Setting: Vayan
Party size: 3 - 5
Level: 1 - 5

Goals:

• Introduce players to Vayan setting, and specifically Vashora and the Astran League
  • Guide players from a small town into the rest of the setting (Village > Town > City)
• Help people get to know and grow their character
  • Force players to "pick a side" in one or more conflicts
  • Reward players with contacts and status depending on choices made

Part 1, Overview

Level: 1 - 2
Location: Voldon
Known for its copper mine now, the town of nearly 900 was nothing more than a hamlet only a handful of years ago. It was a quite village, built around the Stone-Faced Bull tavern, making due with what the local farmers and hunters gathered until the local smith found copper in the stream that flows through town. It didn't take long for outsiders to notice, and only some weeks later a group of surveyors had purchased the land leading into the nearby mountain-walls.

Main Quest

Tensions between the Tinkil & co. mining company and original inhabitants of Voldon have reached a breaking point.

Side Quests

• Cases of theft and vandalism have increased dramatically over the last few months. Some people suspect a gang has come into town with the last batch of miners.
• Kobalds have recently been spotted near the edges of town and in the last few nights livestock has been disappearing.
• Reports of bandit activity on the roads leading north and south have been coming in, but the guards are severely understaffed.

• Tinkel's Voldon chapter has seen a small movement to unionize, but this is actively being disrupted by Overseer Miz and his compatriots.
