Discovering the shrine revealed who Nalos had been hearing on the wind. Images flooded his mind:
A tall, beautiful woman dressed in blue and white robes riding on the winds and clouds. Her white hair ran down the length of her back, her pale blue eyes pierced his very mind even in these flashes of images... In her one hand she wielded a massive glaive, the other was covered by what seemed to be an elegant gauntlet made out of ice.
She negotiated - the images wordlessly showing the awe and respect on the faces of those she spoke with - for the borders of her domain, not once but every year. The flashes, slow at first, speed up to show a dizying amount of occasions where She is seen in talks with different figures; A man so radiant his features are hard to make out, a woman so beautiful it makes Nalos' heart skip a beat, a shephard figure neither man nor women - and more. Each year her domain changes, sometimes shrinking and sometimes growing, but always as agreed.
Within her domain the woman commanded the wind and cold - snow and ice following in her footsteps. She commanded armies; from ice breathing wyrms and massive giants, to creatures of the depths of the sea. Wherever she went she commanded respect of every living being, and where she did not get it, life wilted away.
Then, in the last series of flashes, the figures she had been seen negotiating with betrayed her. She was trapped and imprisoned - betrayed. They constructed her a prison, one locked in different places across Vayan, and then covered these locks; One hidden deep within the earth far from any civilization. One hidden within an ancient forest, guarded by the trees and their watchers. One hidden within a basin, and then covered under hundreds of meters of water, close to their own thrones.
When Nalos woke from these images he found himselfs holding the very glaive he had seen Her wield. The pact had been made. Her command clear in his mind.

Discovering the shrine revealed who Nalos had been hearing on the wind. Images flooded his mind: A tall, beautiful woman dressed in blue and white robes riding on the winds and clouds.
