[[category:Vayan]][[category:Vashora]][[category:Religion]][[category:Cult]][[category:Faction]][[category:Antagonist]] The Keepers of the Secret Hoard are a semi-secretive religious cult. Their purpose is to eventually free Tiamat, they worship chromatic dragons, and believe metallic dragons - along with Bahamut - are slavers who have deceived mortals with concepts like 'protection from evil' 'honor' and 'justice'. == Organisation == === Who do they worship=== Tiamat, and living chromatic dragons. === What makes them unique=== *They seek out Chromatic dragons with the intention of creating pacts with them: The Dragons will help open a portal to summon Tiamat when the time comes, and they supply them with gold, gems, and other precious materials to add to their hoards. Even if the Dragons refuse to help, they will still offer them precious materials. *They are actively researching ways to bring about Tiamat's appearance into Vayan. ===Their Beliefs === The myth or history they believe to be true as the basis of their religion and tenets. *Dragons are divine entities, created in the likeness of Kansthar. *When the world was created, Kansthar split into two: Tiamat and Bahamut. Tiamat sought freedom, while Bahamut sought enslavement. *In a major struggle, Bahamut defeated Tiamat and sealed her away - knowing he could not kill her, but her prison was imperfect and she found ways to spread her spawn onto Vayan, preparing the world for her return. *The metallic dragons turned their back on Tiamat, and should be purged from the world to make room for those that still bow for the queen. ===What are their Tenets=== *Dragons are divine entities and should always be worshipped as such. *When Tiamat comes, her true worshippers will be stripped of their mortal form and transformed into dragons. *Dragonborn are a corruption of Tiamat's vision. Some can be saved, the rest should be purged. *Metallic dragons have been corrupted by Bahamut's influence and should never be trusted. If possible, they should be killed. ===Where do they worship=== *Dragon Lairs are their preferred places of worship *Sacrificial sites ===How do they worship=== *Adding to dragon hoards *Doing the bidding of dragons ===Active Duties === (besides worship) *Sending people / going into Avernus to research the Dragon Queen's prison and its weaknesses *Gathering souls to power the ritual that heralds her eventual return ===What holidays do they Celebrate=== None ===Who is their leader=== *[[Xulloas]], Undying dragon lord and commander for Tiamat. *[[Viosephit]], the Cunning (Dragon Cleric) == Plans == The eventual end goal of the Keepers is to free Tiamat, the Dragon Queen, and summon her into the Prime Material plane, establishing her as rightful ruler. However, with this goal being rather lofty for the time being Xulloas had set the Keepers onto different missions. Xulloas' current goal is to weaken the influence of [[Qumae]] on the Astran League, foil the efforts to make [[Harrak]] ascend to being an Undying, and destabilize the Astran League to establish rule of the Chromatic dragons. === Hunozur === [[Hunozur]] is a Half-Orc Warlock. He serves Viosephit, an ancient red dragon, who he believes to be his Patron. In reality, however, Xulloas is his patron. Hunozur is a tall and muscular man. He is cunning, arrogant, and ruthless. Before finding his patron, Hunozur studied Arcanelogy and Plannar Dynamics at the Ebrus Academia Praecantatio (Ebrus' Academy for Sorcery). <br/> His current assignment is to use the population of Lonstrem for magical experimentation.
