=== The Pantheon ===
The Prime Gods are those considered to be good in nature, and responsible for mortals living free of the tyranny of influences of darkness and evil. These Prime deities are worshipped in most places, along with the lesser gods.

The Prime Gods are far from the only ones, and the pantheon knows more deities that are known and respected - though their worship is more disparate.

The Ruinous Gods are considered gods in their own right, but of evil and darkness. Worship of these gods is outlawed in many places across Vayan.

The mortal races were largely left to their own devices and while some of the influence and directives of their deities remained they now had to create their own destiny. Kingdoms, Empires, and Dominions rose from the ashes of the Ancients. Some structured their societies in the image of their Gods and others, having long since lost their faith, made their own moral codes. 

This is where we stand now. A world without Gods, where only occasional whispers and dreams still allude to their influence on our Material plane. Some claim their deities still watch over the material plane, steering those who are still loyal to carry out their will. Others believe that the gods have abandoned this world and left us to deal with the mess they left behind.
